Prarthana Purkayastha is Senior Lecturer in Dance at Royal Holloway University of London, and author of Indian Modern Dance, Feminism and Transnationalism (2014). Her dance research examines the politics of race, gender, sexuality and nationhood, with a particular focus on South Asian and British Asian performance.
